Selsun Anti-Dandruff Shampoo is a medicated treatment specially formulated to relieve severe dandruff and seborrhoeic dermatitis—a condition characterized by an itchy, flaky, and greasy scalp. Its active ingredient, Selenium Sulphide 2.5%, is a powerful antifungal and cytostatic agent that:

• Eliminates the fungi (Malassezia) responsible for dandruff

Selsun is also occasionally used under medical advice to treat tinea versicolor, a fungal skin infection that causes discolored patches.
